Millions of older and vulnerable people in England can now book spring Covid-19 vaccinations, with NHS England urging eligible groups to act because protection from earlier doses or infections can decrease over time.
The programme is available to people aged 75 and over, older care home residents, and those with weakened immune systems, and appointments can be booked through the NHS app, online, by calling 119, or at walk-in sites. NHS England said patients in these groups will be invited, but they do not need to wait for an invitation before booking. Officials said Covid-19 continues to circulate year-round and can remain especially dangerous for elderly and vulnerable people.
