These funding reductions have forced clinic closures, caused shortages of test kits, and are already linked to a rise in Aids-related deaths in some regions. UNAids warns that this crisis could lead to 3.3 million more new HIV infections by 2030 without urgent, renewed political commitment and investment in prevention and community services.
