Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip killed at least 12 Palestinians and injured several more, with strikes hitting displaced people’s tent camps and other areas. The strike took place just days before a scheduled meeting of Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace”. The Israeli military said the strikes were carried out in response to ceasefire violations by Hamas while Hamas condemned the attacks as a “massacre” of displaced civilians and a serious breach of the truce. The violence occurred despite a US-brokered ceasefire agreement, with both sides accusing each other of violations. According to Gaza’s health ministry, over 600 people have been killed since the truce began.
